What else should I know?

Influenced by the sea and situated close to the coastal mountain range, the Casablanca Valley in the 5th region has a very unique climate, which produces a slow maturing of its grapes.

The region is well known for its production of cool climate wines, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It also produces cool climate red wines like Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

From late February until the end of May, all of the vineyards in Chile will be engaged in the grape harvest, also known as “La Vendimia”. This is a great time to visit and watch wine making in action, from the vine, to the selection table, then to the tank.
